Original Sokos Hotel Villa, a modern city hotel built into an old granary, is situated close to the Tampere railway station and university, as well as Tampere Hall. The completely renovated Hotel Villa was opened to the public at the outset of July 2011. In connection with the renovation, both the lobby and bar premises were given a totally new, fresh and cosy appearance. In addition, an entirely new sauna area was built for the hotel. A harmonious and warm atmosphere pervades the refurbished rooms. Ecology is readily seen in the use of sustainable natural materials, for instance. One of the strong themes supporting the basic renovations has been a sense of responsibility.
